Waiting

During the night Andy and I were both awake at the same time.

“Want to feel the baby?” I asked

He put his hand on my belly as it thumped and kicked and rolled with life. “Honey, he said after a couple minutes, “It’s a wonder you get any sleep at all with that happening inside you!”

Yeah.

Add heartburn, random contractions throughout the night, and round ligament pain and I’ve reached the stage in pregnancy where I’m pretty sure I’d get more sleep with a newborn.

Waiting for a baby always reminds me of waiting for Jesus to return. We don’t know the day or the hour, but we know it will happen, because He has promised and He keeps His promises.

Are you ready?
