Heading East

I love to plan in advance.

Even as a girl, every summer we children spent a couple days with my dad’s sister, Aunt Patty, and I would begin packing a whole month in advance; re packing every few days to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything.

Andy wings it. Two days before a trip is too soon to start packing. He packs an hour before it’s time to be on the road.

So imagine my surprise when at supper last night Andy said, “Let’s have a family meeting tonight and plan our trip to the lower 48.”

Yay!!!

We have had our tickets booked for over a month now, and while I have been trying to keep myself in check, a lot of planning has been going on. Andy said he has to plan for this trip in self defense – if he doesn’t I’ll have it all planned out before he even starts thinking about it.

He’s probably right.

In any case, it’s great to be together on what we want to do this trip. It’s still two months away but a six week trip does require some planning!

Here’s the plan.

We will be flying into Columbus, Ohio on December 6 and will spend approximately 2 1/2 weeks in that area. Around December 23 we will be heading for Pennsylvania with a couple stops on the way, hopefully reaching the home farm and Andy’s folks on Christmas Day.

We will be in that area until January 14ish and then will head back to Ohio for a few days before we fly back to Alaska on my birthday, January 18.

I hope we can make the rounds and see everyone but immediate family does come first! We plan to attend several churches and family get-togethers in hopes of seeing old friends and relatives.

If you have any questions or want to make sure we’ll be able to cross paths, email me at 1994godsprincess@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing many of you in a couple months!!

    1. Absolutely! We’ll have to try to get up to Wilkesberry some evening unless you plan to be at the Longinecker get together.

  1. So good to hear the two of you can plan together! Hope we get to see you in PA and wish you enjoyment and safety in your travels.
