Church Family

One of the best things about life here in Alaska is our church family. There are only nine families and the small group helps us stay close to each other even though many of us live over an hour away from some of the others.

Matt Snader, one of the guys in church, bought the cabins that Andy works at and has been getting them ready to rent out.

Over the weekend our whole church had a camp out there, so Andy and I have both been busy getting beds made, the shower house ready to go, curtains up, and cleaning done.

What a great weekend of togetherness!! We cooked over the fire, played some volleyball, and all got mosquito bites and sunburn. It was sunny all weekend and since the sun rises well before we got up and doesn’t set until almost midnight, we all got lots of sunshine!

The cabins have a really good view of the mountains across Cook Inlet.

Here is our fire ring area. It was good to have all the time we wanted to just talk, play games, do skits, and sing songs.
