We have discovered that house sitting is fun for a while, but then you find that you miss home. And miss home, and miss home until you can barely stand to be house sitting any longer. Thankfully we can go home next Wednesday!!
The snow is incredible here in the interior. We got around 18 inches last week, and then a few more on Sunday. When Andy went to cut wood the snow was up to his waist where it hadn’t drifted. The igloo looks like a big gumdrop.
We had a visitor here for almost a week, a part native guy who was suffering from cabin fever and needed to be with people for a while. It was good for us to have someone here as well just to break things up.
He brought a bunch of moose meat and we all ate well. We took him back home today and washed our two weeks worth of laundry there as well.
He made us Salmon for lunch. I think it tastes even better in the winter! It’s been fun to have him stay with us and I’ll miss his help with the cooking!
