It has been a bit of a struggle to get enough logs out of the woods for firewood. Andy ties a rope around a log and can slowly drag it out even while on crutches if it isn’t too big, but we were barely able to keep up with the stove.
On Wednesday we asked the guys from church if anyone would be able to come help us cut wood and the next day quite a few guys came down to help, one of them bringing a load of logs with them.
What a huge blessing it is to have church brothers who care! That community and love for each other is hard to find anywhere else.
So now we have logs piled outside and the wood boxes and the stove are full. Praise the Lord!
Hello friends,
Tabitha, I was telling your MIL how I enjoy reading your posts. She suggested i let you know that because you weren’t sure if anyone is reading them. Yes, we very much enjoy reading them and it helps us to remember to pray for you. It takes a special kind of people to take the adventure you folks have.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
Thank you for the encouragement Sarah! Just today I was having trouble thinking of what to write and thought, “what’s the point of writing twice a week? Who knows if people even read it anyway?” And then I got on to make myself write a post despite my feelings and there was your comment! You made my day!
No, sadly the bucket was not emptied that day – only filled up much quicker than usual! 🙂
Amen and Amen to what you said about Christian community. We are realizing that and have been on the receiving end with our move to W.B. and with other family expenses in recent months. We have really grateful for all the support we have received, too. It is humbling to be more on the receiving end than on the giving end, but it certainly is a blessing. I am confident, knowing you and Andy, that in the future, and even now, you will be on the giving end as well.
Speaking of the receiving end, did you think of asking any of your brothers in Christ to maybe empty THE BUCKET for you? I’d be glad to do it if someone would be willing to pay my way to Alaska. lol.
