It is so good to have Dad, Mom, and Silas here. Especially Mom. I haven’t had to wash the dishes in four days!
On Sunday evening we went over to the cabin and had supper in there. It was pretty warm in there with the wood stove even without the ceiling insulation in yet.
We were sitting around talking when we noticed a big bull moose right outside our cabin walking past the mini van. That caused some excitement for a while. I think he had a 40 inch spread. He walked right through the yard and headed toward the creek. That was pretty awesome.
Richard and Joseph Person have been here Saturday, yesterday and today putting in our septic for us! The yard, such as it was, is all torn up by pipeline and they have been working hard to get it in.
Today they are working on getting water into the cabin and Dad is doing some plumbing.
We are still waiting on some mud to dry on the kitchen walls and then I’ll get to paint it! I can’t wait!
It’s great to see the progress on your cabin and glad you have family there to help you with it. We just had to dig out our septic line and replace it this summer, too. Since we had to tear out a flowering bush, I used your idea, Tabitha, and placed 3 old tires along the ditch line and planted canas in them for flowerbeds to take the place of the bush. It looked nice! Moral: if life hands you lemons , make lemonade; if life gives you ditches, make flowerbeds!

I love the way you think, Betty Joy! 🙂
It’s looking good, Tabitha! I’m praying for all of you.
Thanks Aunt Mim!
