Slowly but surely we are getting the cabin ready to move into! A couple guys came Saturday afternoon and put in our ceiling insulation and plastic. They also moved our appliances into place to be hooked up. What a huge help!
We’ve had a couple inches of snow on the ground since Saturday. It sure is pretty with the spruces all dusted in white.
This morning we cleaned out some of the building/plumbing supplies that have collected in the cabin. It feels a lot less cluttered in there now.
We are on our way to Home Depot for some plumbing fittings we need to finish hooking up the tub and the kitchen sink, some tongue and groove for the wall behind the loft steps we hope to put in in the next couple days, boards for shelves, etc. Hopefully our last Home Depot trip before we move in!
The wood stove is keeping it nice and toasty in the cabin now that the insulation is in.
We hope to move in later this week, but we’ll have to see how things go. Everything takes a lot longer now.
Andy says he is ready to be done using crutches. Only 8 more weeks to go!
Good to hear from you Doris! I read Andy your comment and he just smiled patiently. 🙂
: ) Tabitha, you can console Andy with letting him know you understand…how long does an expectant mother work around , carry around, tolerate, etc the encumbrance of a baby belly!! (True, it does result in a really, really worthwhile and delightful little person, but all the same…)
Keep those blogs coming; we love keeping up with you this way! Doris L.
