Our washer works!!! What a beautiful sound it was when I heard the water running in and it began to agitate. When you go without something for a while, you REALLY appreciate it!
Ready or not, we plan to move into the cabin tomorrow! We are quickly trying to get the kitchen counter built and some shelves underneath as well as finishing up the steps.
I love my wooden countertop! We ordered epoxy to put on top to protect it from dings and dents.
Luis Yoder from church spent part of the afternoon here yesterday getting the hard part of the stairs done.
The children love to play with wood scraps. 🙂
I spent this morning cutting the boards for the steps, and now we just need to screw them into place!
Amazing progress! I can identify in only a small way with the washing machine music from when our machine didn’t work.
However, I probably didn’t have as far to the laundromat as you do. So happy for you!
Looks like Andy is stretching the limits on non-weight bearing. It must be hard for him when there is so much to be done.
Blessings,
Ada
It is hard for him to not push too hard, especially when his wife wants to move into the cabin and can’t do everything herself. 🙂
We are in the middle of moving stuff over today, and Andy looks forward to just sitting in the recliner and taking over the phone job from here on out. He needs a break!!
Thanks Dale! These are exciting times for both our families! We love hearing the updates on your lives as you prepare to move. Your new house sounds nice!
Woo hoo! What an accomplishment! All your work is finally paying off! Congratulations!
We just had a milestone on the 25th. We closed on our “new for us” house in Wilkes Barre. We’re planning on moving Nov. 25. But we have a lot less work to get ready for that than you’all did to get ready to move into your cabin. At least our house was already there.
God bless you as you move in and get settled in the cabin. Wish we could be there to help!
Dale
