We are once again on our way home with a motorhome full of building supplies.
The downside of living in a motorhome is that you can’t stay in one spot. We have to drive it to town once a week to dump the tank and get propane for heat and cooking.
Andy took the mini van to town yesterday and picked up our roofing metal, and then once he got home at 5:30 pm we all headed back to town in the motorhome to get propane and a bunch more house stuff.
We ended up being in Home Depot till almost ten last night, so we parked at Fred Meyer (Alaska’s Walmart, only better) and are headed home today.
This beast can actually haul a fair amount of stuff, particularly if you don’t plan on walking around in here much. We are currently loaded down with stove pipe, tongue and groove boards for our loft, drywall sheets, mud, and accessories for mudding, drill bits and bolts for fastening the loft logs, kitchen paint (yay!), a window for the children’s room, and some groceries.
I’m ready to get home and start putting all this stuff in our house! First roofing, then insulation, then loft, etc. Looks like we could be ready to move in in about three weeks! That thought has me really excited!
This is good news from a far country!
