Some weeks it feels like we live at Home Depot. Since we have a motorhome and can camp anywhere, and since Home Depot is 1 1/2 hours away, we usually end up spending at least a day, if not two, in town doing errands.
We are back today for more boards! The motorhome is once again so full of boards that we can barely walk. The mini van is too short to hold most of the boards we need for framing, so the motorhome it is!
Right now I am beginning to wonder what on earth we are going to have for lunch since the refrigerator can’t be opened. There are stacks of boards halfway up the front of it!
Oh well. PB and J works for us.
Thing is, Andy went back into Home Depot to get 114 eight footers. Hmmm. WHERE are they going to fit??
On Friday there was a group of 9 Amish guys staying at the cabins where Andy works. They wanted Andy to take them out fishing on the ocean  in his boat, but Andy was pretty reluctant. After weeks of off and on rain, we finally had a sunny week to work on our house.
But the guys agreed that if Andy would take them fishing in the morning, they would help with the house in the afternoon.
That trade was so worth it!!! Nine guys can get a lot done on a house in an afternoon!
They came back from fishing with about five fifteen pound Halibut, which is super teeny for Halibut, but they seemed happy with their catch. I fried some of them up for supper, and till then, they had three walls up on our cabin!
They actually ran out of boards and nails, which is why we’re spending a couple days hauling supplies from Home Depot. It is so fun to see some walls up and be able to picture where the kitchen/living room/bathroom will be!
